It’s pretty astounding that Nintendo’s indie movement has been going strong for five years! Back in 2015, Nintendo seemed more restrictive with indie titles taking up precious eShop real-estate. While they showcased titles through their Nindies live-streams, competitors like Sony and Microsoft still offered more indie titles. Nintendo totally flipped the switch (get it) with their current indie st...[Read More]
Evan’s Remains, by Matías Schmied, is like most of my relationships: short, sweet, and kind of twisted. If you are good at puzzles (which I am not), this puzzle-platformer will only take you an afternoon to finish. However it will likely be a few days before you can stop thinking about it. The puzzles are fun, yes, and the art style is strangely beautiful, but the game’s true strength ...[Read More]
The Switch demo for Liberated won a slew of accolades during the 2020 Steam Game Festival. However, while the demo may have shown great promise, the game itself did not live up to the expectations it set. It is a stunning visual art piece with a decent story, but only an adequate game.
In a time where social interaction has been significantly reduced where people are discovering just how useful technology can be to meet that need, we need all of the cooperative games we can get. I’ve always been a bigger fan of cooperative gaming experiences over ones revolving around competition; I’m more into PVE than PVP. I also find that games centered around PVE, especially ones that lack a...[Read More]

Whether it’s the ability to hop in and do a couple of rounds online or move through a compelling story, the pacing often mandates that things progress or conclude typically within a couple of hours for each session. The Longing aims to challenge that idea with the concept of rewarding patience. The Longing follows a y...[Read More]

Umaiki Games’s upcoming action RPG “Skellboy” has now appeared in the Nintendo Store for preordering! Publisher Fabraz is launching this title for the Nintendo Switch in much the same manner that they published “SpiritSphere DX.” Considering that Fabraz is the same developer that created “Slime-san,” their taste in partners is probably good and our excitement justified. If you want to get the game...[Read More]
