Several years ago, I was tasked with trawling forums to find interesting projects to bring to light. One of those projects was Ama’s Lullaby, an adventure RPG with turn-based combat that was in the very early stages of development. Not long after, developer Marc Chevallereau of Mercy Ground Creations decided to take the game in a different direction, but you can view the previous version her...[Read More]

I don’t think I’ve met someone who dislikes Jotun. The man has an infectious enthusiasm, especially about making powerful games that resonat...[Read More]
Star Citizen is a game that looks to be a holy union between Call of Duty, Mass Effect, and even bits of No Man’s Sky. One with incredible expectations as it smashed its Kickstarter goal with over 2 million donated to the cause of development. That Kickstarter campaign was several years ago with the game just now getting into its earliest of alpha stages, with no definite release date in sig...[Read More]

Multiplayer is an important aspect of game design. Since the days of the Egyptians playing Senet, people have been playing against each other and with each other. Kinetik is being marketed as a tactical RPG shooter from the talents of the folks that brought Everquest and H1Z1 to life. Hero Machine Studios is a new independent company built from these developers who are looking to bring their newes...[Read More]
We all remember our first time. NO, I’m not talking about that. Well. Sort of. I’m talking about our first romantic visual novel. I can more than likely tell you what you don’t remember. Last year it started its trek on Kickstarter, but u...[Read More]

(Damn it Phil, you had one job. Yet you didn’t supervise the dinosaurs. This is ...[Read More]
Tactical RPGs have many flavors depending on the nature of the title. Fire Emblem took the turn based, challenging approach with armies of knights clashing with other armies. Final Fantasy Tactics took a more personal take on combat with smaller spaces and smaller teams with an emphasis on building up each unit. Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is inspired by Dragon Age with its pause-for-tactics gam...[Read More]

This one’s a couple of days late, but I blame technology, the harsh, cruel mistress that deals us all a slap on the face at one point or another. Due to unavoidable circumstances, we were unable to record on Sunday for a Monday release. We did record Monday evening, but technology (the aforementioned harsh, cruel mistress) decided to lose our recording file. Today, we attempted to recreate o...[Read More]
