I was browsing the Internets yesterday evening when I came upon what I can only assume is a trailer for an upcoming, totally legit, Superman / Spider-Woman crossover movie. I have a few nitpicks about it, such as the special effects, the costumes, and the language, but I think this may be a low budget movie more in the vein of The Hoff’s Nick Fury: Agent of Shield than a big budget blockbus...[Read More]
During the recent San Diego Comic-Con, fans waiting for the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3 game were given new character reveals, trailers, gameplay footage, and more.
Late last night, Marvel.com gave us an unintended sneak peak at two more characters for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Though quickly pulled, their gallery was prematurely updated with character art and screenshots of two new characters, Thor and Amaterasu (from Okami). Luckily, the internet was ever vigilant and managed to grab these screenshots before they disappeared.
Those of you lucky enough to be at Comic-Con have already seen the four new characters announced for Capcom’s Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. If you are one of these lucky few, you have my jealousy and scorn. For the rest of us, there’s the magic of the Internet.
Lindsey and I love (most) Marvel Comics. Lindsey and I love (most) Capcom games. Having said that about both of us, I think it should come as no surprise that Lindsey and I love the Marvel vs. Capcom series of games. Lindsey in particular is proud of her rare copies of Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes on both Dreamcast and the original Xbox. You can perhaps begin to imagine our joy when ...[Read More]
Green Lantern is one of my top-three favorite superheroes. I have not loved all iterations of Green Lantern, but the three greatest to ever where the green battery (Alan Scott, Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner) are some of my favorite characters in both the DC and Marvel universes. Each of these three has his own character traits that both sets him apart from the other Green Lanterns, and binds him to th...[Read More]
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or have no interest in comic book movies, you’re well aware that there is a Thor movie in the works. Details have been scarce, and so have images…until today. Slated for a summer 2011 release, Marvel Studios confirmed today that, like the upcoming Captain America movie, Thor will be released in 3D (ugh). Personally, I’m sick of 3D, so...[Read More]
We rented X-Men Origins: Wolverine over a week ago, but since I work, and we had a busy weekend, it’s taken me the full week to finally complete the game. Now, on to the review! I’ll start with the complaints. Primarily, the game was short. At least, shorter than I would have liked. However, when you really think about it, that seems to be the case for all games that I enjoy a grea...[Read More]
Over the weekend, we downloaded the Wolverine: Origins demo on our Xbox 360. I am generally hesitant of movie adaptations, but Lindsey had seen some gameplay footage, and I had read a great deal about the game, so we felt it would be a fun, free demo. I gave it a shot on Sunday night, and was immediately impressed by the graphics. The introductory FMV does a good job of introducing the characte...[Read More]
