Hue Review

Story driven platformer games are all over the place in the independently developed video game market. What seemed to start with Limbo back on the Xbox 360 and such has slowly evolved with various mechanics driving the game. Hue is one of those games, a puzzle filled platformer that plays with color, player perception, and logic patterns. Created by Fiddlesticks, Hue seeks to wow its audience with...[Read More]

Far Cry 4 & Far Cry Primal Physical Bundle Coming?

While it’s quite normal for companies to create bundles of past games, it wouldn’t shock me with this latest rumor. As many of you know lifelower on Twitter is well-known for finding rating board leaks, games showing up early when they haven’t been announced and more. Well seems another possible slip up may have happened via MicroMania’s website and lifelower giving the hea...[Read More]

Madden NFL 17 Review

Yes, it’s time for another Madden – and, like clockwork, it’s time for a number of fans to complain about how this year’s game fails to do anything significant over the releases that have come about the last few years. But not so fast – EA Tiburon has made some real strides with Madden NFL 17, and the game feels more complete than it’s ever been. It actually makes it feel…w...[Read More]

Gal*Gun: Double Peace

Gal Gun Double Peace is a railgun shooter that does away with zombies or groups of mercenaries. Instead, trek your way through a bright and colourful academy, fending off your fellow female students! Why? Because they all want a piece of you.

Gal*Gun: Double Peace Review

You know what we don’t see much of anymore? On-rails shooter. That’s not to say the alternative – actual shooters like Shadow Warrior and Doom – isn’t acceptable. Having full control really means something. But it makes me miss the classic shoot-em-ups of old, like the House of the Dead series, Time Crisis, or, God help me, the polygonal beauty of Virtua Cop. (Yes, I said it.)

Assetto Corsa Review

Usually, there are two general types of driving games to choose from – either hardcore simulation, along the likes of Gran Turismo and Project CARS; or arcade, like Split/Second and Ridge Racer. On occasion, there’s a game that does very well in both categories, like Microsoft’s acclaimed Forza series, but otherwise, it’s a pretty fair division between the two types of audiences.

UNO Review

The last version of UNO to hit the video game front left a little something to be desired. Not because it wasn’t playable, mind you – in fact, the developers did a great job capturing the energy of the game, right down to the manic feeling of getting hit with a “Draw Four.” The problem was with the compatibility of Xbox 360 cameras, which, as a result, led to some users getting a...[Read More]
