The Dreamcast was ahead of its time in both hardware and software. Many memorable and unforgettable experiences appeared on the Dreamcast and found homes on digital download platforms years after their original platform’s demise. Crazy Taxi, the Power Stone games, Resident Evil CODE: Veronica, Space Channel 5, Samba de Amigo, Virtua Tennis, and more have all found success following the Dream...[Read More]
Wheels of Destruction, the PSN vehicular combat title coming “soon,” is getting more and more interesting with each trailer that comes out. The game offers five different vehicle types to choose from, with the first class, the Scout, being debuted last week. Now, a second class debut trailer has been released featuring the Heavy class. Seemingly slower, but with a much heavier payload ...[Read More]
Launch lineups are typically less than stellar (Fantavision and Perfect Dark Zero anyone?), so skepticism is expected. The Vita manages to have a lot of big names attached to it, names like Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden, gearing up to be a full console experience in a handheld. Yet, the highlight of the Vita may just be Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, the cheapest title available. A hilarious ...[Read More]
Man, I typed in that post title and suddenly Pearl Jam started blaring in my head. Thanks, Ubisoft, for giving me something nice to hum while I type. Shoot Many Robots, the demiurge title being published next month by Ubisoft (yes, release dates have been announced, and I’ll get to them shortly), started as a prototype back in January of 2009. Since then, the game has made leaps and bounds i...[Read More]
A couple of weeks ago, we saw the announcement for the Poor Man’s Twisted Metal, for lack of a better term. Wheels of Destruction, a PSN vehicular combat title coming to the platform “soon,” has just released their first vehicle trailer. With five different vehicle types available in the game, The Scout class is the first one to be debuted. Watch the trailer below and let us know...[Read More]
In an effort to ruin as many relationships as possible on Valentine’s Day, Bioware released the demo for Mass Effect 3 today on Xbox LIVE, PSN and PC. The demo features the all-out attack by the Reapers on Earth, as well as a single-player mission from late in the game.

BloodRayne: Betrayal was not an easy game. It was, however, a wonderfully entertaining game, if you believe what has been said about it. Now, BloodRayne, the titular dhampir character of BloodRayne: Betrayal, can continue her action-platformer quest against the undead on your console at two-thirds of the original price, thanks to a permanent price cut. 1200MSP / $14.99 is now dropped to 800MSP / $...[Read More]
NeverDead turns one week old today, and DLC is on the way. The title, which has been receiving a large number of very negative reviews, to my confusion and consternation, is moving forward with the additional content, set to reach consoles on February 21st. Expansion Pack Volume 1, as it’s being called, seems to be a bit short of the content I would expect out of something referred to as an ...[Read More]
I like shooting robots. One of my favorite shooters of all time was 2010’s Vanquish, which primarily consists of shooting robots or humans enhanced by robotics. You may all be prepared for the zombie apocalypse, but I’m prepared for the far more likely robot uprising. You can understand, then, the anticipation I feel for any game that lets me wail on robots or creatures enhanced by rob...[Read More]
I was a child of the arcades. I would spend my time and money gladly and without hesitation at any one of a number of arcades on any one of a number of cabinets. X-Men, Gauntlet, Time Crisis, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and more have all played their part in draining me of the limited funds I had in my childhood. One of the games most responsible for my lack of cold hard coinage in my youth was ...[Read More]
