Review: Rush’N Attack: Ex-Patriot (XBLA)

Rush’N Attack: Ex-Patriot is a bad 80’s action movie; the dialogue isn’t great, the story is thin and feeble, and you’re fighting Russians (see what they did there with the game title?). You are part of an elite knife-fighting assassin unit for the U.S. military. You are to infiltrate a Russian base and rescue the long-suffering American prisoner who failed in his (similar)...[Read More]

Review: Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime (XBLA)

The Ghostbusters movies (yes, both of them) will never get old for me. I’ll watch them thirty years from now and still be entertained to no end with the masterfully told story of four men, a woman, another man, another woman, a baby, another man, a giant marshmallow-man, a Carpathian destroyer, an asshole, and a bunch of ghosts. I enjoyed the late-80s animated series at the time, but I’...[Read More]

Review: Slam Bolt Scrappers (PS3)

You know, I don’t even know why I’m doing this. I’ve said everything about the game in my preview. It’s Tetris with guns. It’s fun. The only new info I have is that multiplayer is definitely fun and the single player is way too short. But I am obligated to give some more words to this game, so lets get this thing going on.

Slam Bolt Scrappers is Tetris With Guns

Of the many, many games I played at PAX East, the one that took me most by surprise had to be Slam Bolt Scrappers. I knew the game existed, I knew it had an awesome title, but I had no idea what it really was. Upon playing it, I knew what it was. It was a must buy.

Slam Bolt Scrappers Available Now on PSN

Very rarely do I regret not having a PS3 simply because I adore my 360. Today Sony Online Entertainment and Fire Hose Games released Slam Bolt Scrappers for PSN and I’m green with envy because I don’t get to play it. The game has ass-kicking, puzzles, and lasers! LASERS!

Castlevania Dreams Up Some Screens for Reverie

I actually looked up the definition of reverie before writing this. It means to enter a state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts. Well…that doesn’t really seem to fit the horrific monsters and vampiric demons found in the Castlevania series, but whatever. We have some new screenshots to look at for the first DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, entitled Reverie.

Review: Alien Breed 3: Descent (PS3)

Alien Breed 3: Descent, the final chapter of the Alien Breed series, is a fitting end to the trilogy. Although it is a largely mediocre game, it may have something to offer you.

Robot Announces First Original Game, Action-Strategy “Orcs Must Die”

I like a good Tower Defense game; at least, I like it for about half an hour before I get bored sitting there just building structure after structure. If I wanted to do that, I’d have been an engineer. Why can’t I have it both ways, killing waves of baddies with my towers and killing waves of baddies with my BARE HANDS? Having just announced their first original game, the action-strate...[Read More]

Review: King of Fighters ’94 (PSN)

I’ve commented enough times about the SNK Neo-Geo and its games being hard. Obscenely hard. And then when you’re a completist like me, fighting games from the Neo-Geo can be a nightmare. They’re tough, and there’s a lot of characters. Hence why King of Fighters ’94 may be the fighter that’s taken me the longest to beat.
