If so then it’s totally has my vote on the most awesome collectors edition created so far from SEGA. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric Review

As the roar of the 20s quieted into the purr of the 30s, an American astronomer named Edwin Hubble, using big words like “recessional velocity”, “relativity” and “megaparsec”, rocked the scientific community the world over by suggesting that our universe is expanding. This discovery sent out a seismic shock wave that is still felt today. The buzz from talk of “the universe” isn’t...[Read More]

Review: Sonic the fighters (XBLA)

A number of gamers love the classics from Mario, Banjo Kazooie, Pacman, and Sonic. Games that feature characters from these games are normally an easy sell. Sometimes the games are remade or changed; the remakes or changed games can vary on if they are good or horrible. Sonic the Fighters is a game that takes Sonic and other characters and changed it into a fighting game. Is this game good or horr...[Read More]

Review: Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed (360)

When it comes to racing games you’ll see me and friends playing quite often. It could be the Forza franchise, Mario Kart, and even Sonic All-Star Racing. For quite some time I’ve been putting a lot of time into Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed…heck, so much time that I finally have 1000 gamer score on Xbox 360. I’ll say this much…it was one hell of a time to achieve ...[Read More]

Review: Sonic Adventure 2 (XBLA)

Take a trip back in time with me to the year 2001. Sonic Adventure 2, developed by the Sonic Team, was just released for the SEGA Dreamcast console. Now back to the present, where SEGA has brought Sonic Adventure 2 to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. I spent a lot of time playing Sonic Adventure on my SEGA Dreamcast back in the day, but the most experience I ever had with Sonic Adventure 2 as a dem...[Read More]

Sonic Adventure 2 May Hit XBL Oct. 3 – Screenshots

Ever since the Dreamcast classic Sonic Adventure hit Xbox LIVE and other formats, everyone has been asking about Sonic Adventure 2. I played the demo for Sonic Adventuer 2 many years ago, when I was a proud SEGA Dreamcast owner, but I’ve never gone through the entire game, and as years progress, some people will lose track of games. I’ve played more Sonic Adventure, definitely, than So...[Read More]

How Great Stories Ruin Games

Last week I finally broke down and got myself an iPhone. There are myriad reasons for doing it, but mostly I was tired of hearing about the games on there and being unable to play them. I spent my first few hours buying games and apps, then the next few hours playing them.  After slogging through meaty games like Crysis 2 and Dragon Age 2 recently, it felt good to just pick up a game that was noth...[Read More]

Sonic in animation: A Retrospective Part 2

Welcome back to the madness that often is called “adapting video games into animation”. Previously, I started by talking about that one classic character that has had more success than most in regards to being adapted, my favorite blue hedgehog Sonic. I talked about his first appearance in animation, as well as SatAM and the anime movie, the highlights of his animated career. Sadly, th...[Read More]

Sonic in animation: A Retrospective Part 1

What can I say about Sonic the Hedgehog? He’s definitely one of my all-time favorite video game heroes, he’s had one of the longest careers in the industry, and he’s also often the center of flame-wars between factions of his fandom. But I always find Sonic unique in his ability to transcend past the games. In particular, Sonic has had more success in animation than most game ico...[Read More]
