E3 2011: Brothers in Arms: Furious 4

Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is a difficult game to describe. Thom took a shot and described it as Hogan’s Heroes meets Inglourious Basterds. Wait…that wasn’t very difficult at all. That pretty much nails it, actually. It’s gory, violent, and over the top like Inglourious Basters, and it’s fucking funny like Hogan’s Heroes. As a side note, I feel comfortable swea...[Read More]

E3 2011: Interview: Martin Edmonson

I was lucky enough to meet Martin Edmonson a few weeks ago at an Ubisoft event down in Santa Monica. As I recently mentioned, I was a huge fan of the original Driver PC game, going so far as to physically ruin my first copy of it from overuse (and possibly a bit of neglect), so meeting the man behind the game was an absolute treat. I ran into him again (a few times, actually) at E3, near the Drive...[Read More]

E3 2011: Driver: San Francisco

It’s hard to imagine that almost 12 years have passed since the first Driver was released. I can still vividly recall the levels, the missions, and most importantly, the driving on one of my favorite driving games of all time. I can still picture the underground parking garage where the tutorial section took place. I played so much Driver on my PC, back in the day, that I actually wore out t...[Read More]

E3 2011: Microsoft Trying to Keep Mascot Alive with Halo 4?

Microsoft announced “Halo 4” at their press conference June 6 at E3, nearly nine months after “Halo: Reach” launched on the 360. The minute-and-a-half trailer left more questions than answers themselves. Among those questions one in particular begs to be asked: is Microsoft trying to salvage their first real mascot from the figurative grave?

InFurious Bastards. Brother In Arms 4 announced

During Ubisoft’s E3 press conference today, the next game from Gearbox was announced. Hot on the success of Borderlands and the completion of Duke Nukem Forever, Gearbox announced they are returning to the Brothers in Arms franchise with Brothers in Arms Furious 4, set to release early next year.

A Revelation is Coming to Assassin’s Creed

If you somehow missed that awesome article, check it out here and then come back to get the 411 on what’s going down this November.

Authors Note: After I started to write this, two new video reveals have been presented so they will be broken down and analyzed below as well. As future video reveals are released I will continue to update this article. For a few days the Inter...[Read More]

Review: Outland (XBLA)

I remember when Outland was announced at last year’s PAX. I instantly fell in love with both the visual feel of the game and the game’s expected polarity-platforming mechanics; I believe my exact phrasing was, “Unfortunately, Outland is not due out until next year, so I can’t make sweet, sweet gamer love to it quite yet.” Well, it is now the aforementioned “next year,...[Read More]

Ubisoft Releases New Child of Eden Trailer to Get You in the Mood

If any of you out there reading this own a 360 but don’t have a Kinect yet, go do so before June 14th. Why? Because Child of Eden is going to be ridiculously badass.

Review: Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes (XBLA)

The Might & Magic franchise has been around video games for a long time now. I remember playing Might & Magic II on my Genesis, a crucial turning point in my video game education. After the third installment of the series appeared on the SNES and Genesis, the series moved to computers and left console players to languish. Fortunately, Ubisoft has started to resurrect the series, but instea...[Read More]

Ubisoft Announces New Music Game – Rocksmith

Just when we thought the music genre was dead Ubisoft announces today that they are coming out with a new guitar based game called Rocksmith. I know what you all must be thinking, “how is this any different than Rock Band or Guitar Hero?” Well, for starters you use an actual guitar to play and not some plastic peripheral. Pretty cool, no?
