Tom Clancy’s The Division was definitely a mixed bag for gamers. Many praised it for it’s close quarters combat mixed with deep RPG elements. Still, the game as a whole felt like a forgettable experience all together. Ubisoft has recently announced that The Division 2 is officially happening. At today’s Xbox Press Briefing, we got our first glimpse of it’s gameplay.
While the official launch of The Crew 2 is still a few weeks away, Ubisoft took the first day of E3 to announce their post-launch support plans. These include a major free update in September that will introduce a whole new vehicle type to the game, plus paid content and monthly new vehicles.
Ubisoft is definitely going into E3 with their heads held high. After the massive success of Assassin’s Creed Origins in 2017 and Far Cry 5 earlier this year, the developer is gaining a ton of momentum heading into E3 2018. Ubisoft announced that they had acquired the video game development studio Blue Mammoth Games. With this purchase, Ubisoft acquires the rights to Brawlhalla, which is currently Steam’s most played fighting game; this addition to Ubisoft’s library increases its multiplayer portfolio while ensuring the possibility of a sequel to the hit fighting franchise.
