World of Meh has been around for awhile now. Some of you have been with us from our humble beginnings, and many of you have just recently joined us and are only familiar with the current version of the site. On December 27th, which marks the 2 year anniversary of the site, a huge change is coming and we are really excited.
Almost two years ago we put up our very first post. Since then, things have, as they have a way of doing, changed. And yet, as much as things change, many things remain the same. My “soon-to-be wife” is now simply my “wife.” Our poignant commentary on society, politics, and the human condition was incredibly…poignant, but has evolved into a steady stream of (still poi...[Read More]
I have some free games on Steam to promote Extra Life! Participate and Win!!
Oh boy, we are feeling generous today! Thanks to the amazing folks at Mumbo Jumbo Games, a package arrived today filled with goodies. While I won’t divulge the entire contents right now, I will say this: A copy of Braid for PC was included.
A long time ago Chris and I created some forums, and they were pretty awesome. Unfortunately they went dead, like the site did for awhile. About a month ago, I decided to bring them back since our readership was larger than ever before, and building a community is one of our goals. Problems occurred, and the old forums had to be scrapped.
Late last night, I was a guest on the Dirty Dowdy Podcast. If you’ve never heard of it before, it’s local, and the host is my friend Chris, whom I’ve known for over 10 years. I was on to talk about World of Meh!, our One Love for Chi Blogathon fundraiser, and to tell people how they can get involved and donate.
Yesterday, Chris and I went on to Central Valley Buzz to promote our site and help spread the word about our Blogathon fundraiser for One Love for Chi. Since we haven’t been on anything live in awhile, I was a little anxious, but I think we did a great job. For those of you who were unable to tune in, the repeat already aired early this morning, but I can give you a rundown of what went on. ...[Read More]
We love comments. We want you to comment. We wish you guys and gals would comment. So, what have we done to help encourage that? Removed the function where you have to register and be logged in to do so. Originally, we set that into place because we were getting loads of spam comments, and it made our site cluttered and really shitty looking. Problem with that, is if you are like the two of us, yo...[Read More]
As part of our ongoing campaign to promote our One Love for Chi fundraiser and Blogathon, Chris and I will be on local internet/radio show, Central Valley Buzz tomorrow. We will be discussing World of Meh!, One Love for Chi, Blogathon, and even our fantastic prizes. On their site, they have a chat box so you can even talk to us and possibly get a mention on air! To watch us make complete fools of ...[Read More]
Dear Readers: We need you! World of Meh! is currently in the running to test out a Nintendo 3DS before anybody else. Of course, it’s all for review purposes, but we need your votes! In order to be eligible for the Nintendo 3DS Preview Program, we have to obtain a minimum of 50 votes, and I know for a fact that there are well over 50 people who read our site. So please, go and vote for World ...[Read More]
I have been a fan of Deftones for over ten years now. I was introduced to them by My Own Summer (Shove It), Back To School (Mini Maggit) & Change (In The House Of Flies) being played on the radio, but the day I decided to buy White Pony was the day after I saw them open for Godsmack in 2001 (my first concert no less). The band, Chino in particular, has since then had a major influence in my mu...[Read More]
Drastic Measures
A few days ago, we implemented a major change to World of Meh. We had originally enforced registration for commenting because of the deluge of spam we knew we would receive if we took no proactive action. Being lazy people, we decided to enforce registration so that we wouldn’t have to combat spam. Unfortunately, we failed to take into consideration the laziness of the Internet at large, ...[Read More]
