Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Review

As someone who has put in a lot of time in the Gears of War franchise I was more than happy to start playing Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for Xbox One. I can remember the late nights when friends and I would just play co-op on insane hoping to one day beat the game itself. Did beating it on the difficulty ever happen? Sure, but we took our time since we often died, but in the end had fun.

Leo’s Fortune Review

No, you’re a ball of fluff! First booting up Leo’s Fortune on Xbox One throws you into a story narrated, by Leo of course, about amassing wealth and having it ripped from your grasp. All of the spoils from your hard work are gone, scattered across the landscape in a Hansel & Gretel breadcrumb-styled “come at me, bro” journey to find the game’s villain. You play as...[Read More]

The Bridge

The Bridge is a 2D logic puzzle game that forces the player to reevaluate their preconceptions of physics and perspective. It is Isaac Newton meets M. C. Escher. Manipulate gravity to redefine the ceiling as the floor while venturing through impossible architectures.

The Bridge Review

The Bridge has a different take on the Puzzle Game genre than what I am used to. In a black and white world in the same vein as an M.C. Escher painting. It’s a very interesting concept, as the ceiling you were just standing on has now become the floor that you are sliding down on your way to the wall. That might not make much sense now, but it will after you spend some time with The Bridge.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch Review

Octodad is a silly, casual game with some great difficulty. Go through the mundane as a cephalopod and try not to draw any attention to yourself. Octodad is a short, sweet story with some fun gameplay and challenging tasks. Grab three friends for some multiplayer action. Check out the video review below!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist Review

When I turned on Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist on my Xbox One, I found myself not remembering anything about the animated series other than the main character has crazier than Cloud Strife hair and something about Blue Eyes White Dragon. As a preteen in the early 2000’s, I saw very few episodes of the show. It was something I flipped to when nothing else was on. I gave this game a chance b...[Read More]
