At this years Penny Arcade Expo, Nintendo will showing off their newest lineup as well as rewarding Dragon Quest IX players. It’s everything you want to see and maybe a little bit more!
Lately, Nintendo has been falling behind in software and hardware sales. So what do they plan to do? How about bring your old favorites out of storage for another go. Nintendo’s been hard at work with games like Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns, not to mention the stunning 3DS. If you’re going to PAX, you might be wondering what they’ll be showing off at their booth. Luckily for you, I’ve got the list of all the big names you’ll be able to get your hands on.
The two biggest Nintendo titles, Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns will both be playable on the show floor this year and open to everyone. Activision is bringing along GoldenEye 007, and EA Sports is showing off NBA Jam. Even though the game was released today, you will still be able to try Metroid: Other M on the show floor.
Nintendo has also announced a new game called Fluidity that will also be playable on the show floor. The title is a new WiiWare title that has you solving puzzles inside of a book called Aquaticus. As you may have guessed from the titles, the game is all about water. You use pipes and the three forms of water to solve all kinds of puzzles and fight enemies.
Not only do you get to see all this new stuff, if you purchased Dragon Quest IX, you’ll be able to play along with other Nintendo fans! All you need to do is bring a Nintendo DS, your Dragon Quest IX game, and have acquired tag mode within the game. You will be able to trade treasure maps and go questing with other players. You even can collect a special map called Orgodemir, just by showing up! If you and friends would like to play together, a special area will be set up for all Dragon Questers in the lounge of the North Lobby on level 4.
PAX is looking so cool this year and with this much to offer, just from Nintendo, I can’t even imagine what everyone else will have. If you’re going definitely stop by Nintendo in booth 352.
