Where will you be December 10? I’ll be at Toronto’s Opera House to see the performances of The Violinist, Tuzzy, Last Bullet and Twisted Ankles. Although you may recognise some more than others, I can truly say this group of performers are sure to rock the Opera House’s stage in two weeks! You do NOT want to miss this! So, with the show quickly approaching, let’s take a few minutes to take a closer look at the performers!
Tuzzy, an R&B and Hip-Hop artist from Toronto is currently unsigned to a label, although Tuzzy has definitely experienced success. His songs can be heard throughout popular Toronto clubs and, in April of 2009, Tuzzy performed at the Phoenix Concert Theatre for a fashion show which aired on Fashion Television. Among other successes, Tuzzy also had his track, “So High” included on the Remix Tape, “Only Your Girl Gets Free Beats Vol 1” by producer, J Staffz. J Staffz, as some of you may know, is a producer for such popular artists as Tony Yayo and Belly, amongst others. You can check out Tuzzy’s Facebook page for more information or check out his website for music samples!
23 year-old Andrew Forde, also know as The Violinist, is also a Toronto born musician. Refusing to be defined by labelling his genre of music, The Violinist uses influential musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Ludwig van Beethoven and Pink Floyd to create a truly unique sound. Previously sharing stages with artists such as Sting, Cheryl Crow and Pitbul, this young man’s talent will blow you away! Check out his website or Facebook page to check out this young sensation.
Sharing the stage with Tuzzy and The Violinist on December 10 is rock band, Last Bullet. We first reviewed their music back in October, and now they’re back. Brian Fontes, 24 along with Mike Silva, Brenden Anthony and Leo Defina, 23, are ready to hit the stage again. Their Facebook page warns they aren’t seeking your attention, they’re going to take it – and that’s just what they do. Also unsigned, this rock band is on the rise, and you don’t want to miss out! Be sure to follow them on Twitter, check out their website, or even like their Facebook page.
Last, but certainly not least, we have Twisted Ankles. This dance crew, which you may recognise some of the current members from Lotto 6/49’s happy dance commercial, So You Think You Can Dance Canada, Score: The Hockey Musical and WalMart commercials, to name a few. Dance is this crew’s passion, and although they are amazing performers, they also teach at venues such as Toronto’s Street Dance Academy and give back to the community by visiting schools throughout Ontario to educate children and teens on the importance of staying off the streets and staying positive. Be sure to check out their Facebook page for updates.
