While the fate of the South Park RPG, South Park: The Stick of Truth, was considered up in the air by many due to THQ’s recent problems, Microsoft has made an effort to assuage our fears and reaffirm our hopes during their E3 press conference today, as they had Trey Parker and Matt Stone present the E3 2012 trailer for their title. Why was this multi-platform title presented at the Microsoft press conference, when the big press conferences are usually reserved for first-party or exclusive content?
The key word there was “exclusive.”

No, South Park: The Stick of Truth is not going from multi-platform to Xbox 360 exclusive, but it will feature some exclusive Xbox 360 DLC, both of the permanent and the timed varieties, as well as “Better With Kinect” implementation. Pre-order DLC includes the “Good Times With Weapons Pack,” which provides destructive items and attacks, and the exclusive DLC, “Mysterion Superhero Pack,” you get to save South Park in style. The Kinect implementation will allow you to taunt enemies and launch attacks using the power of your voice. Apparently, you can also call Cartman a fatass and get one of his classic responses. Honestly, that right there has sold me on picking it up for my 360 as opposed to other platforms (PlayStation 3 and PC).
