It’s getting closer. Attack On Tital 2, the sequel to the game adaptation of one of anime’s biggest hits has a new battle trailer, and some much needed details for what dedicated fans can expect to receive as pre-order bonuses for their platforms of choice.
(That’s… a lot of giant, naked titans in that video. Ed.) For folks interested in the combat mechanics, it looks like the action is going to be fast and frantic. Lots of dodging, flying, button combos, and a good pair of headphones to hear the screams of Titans alerting on scouts would probably probably be helpful as well.
The other big news of the day is the announcement of the game’s pre-order bonuses. The Attack On Titan 2 Digital Deluxe version will include the full game, plus a pack of unique costumes. The costumes will be released on a weekly basis after launch. Digital pre-orders of either the Deluxe or Standard game versions on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, or Sony PlayStation®4 will receive a bonus pack of plain clothes costumes for Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, Christa, Ymir, Reiner, and Bertholdt. PlayStation purchasers will also receive a pack of PSN avatars for Mikasa, Eren, Levi, Reiner, Christa, and Erwin. While not listed, it seems probable that PC gamers purchasing the game via Steam should also receive the bonus pack or costumes, however, that is currently unconfirmed.

Purchasing any version of the game on any platform within four weeks of the game’s launch will also provide a bonus pack of plain clothes costumes for Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi.
The costume bonuses will allow additional modifications of the thirty playable characters as the game takes players through the narrative of the Attack on Titan universe. In addition, players can use the Character Creation Studio to build their own custom scout and play through the game with a character of their own design.
Attack on Titan 2 will be released on March 20th, 2018 for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam).
