In case you had not heard, the Poké Ball Plus will now contain Mew in its purchase! When “Pokémon : Let’s Go!” launches on November 16th, each copy of the Poké Ball Plus will have a Mew tucked away inside. Players can transfer Mew to their main game on the Switch and continue to use the Poké Ball Plus to ferry around their other favorite buddies!

New Connectivity:

Nintendo has also announced that the Poké Ball Plus will be able to connect with “Pokémon GO!” It had been announced earlier that Kanto Pokémon could be transferred from “GO” to “Let’s Go,” they did not mention this! Now you can use that new gadget to catch Pokémon as you walk around town! Unfortunately, though, they have also announced that any Mew caught in “GO” cannot be transferred to “Let’s Go.”

Pokémon from “GO” can be sent to the GO Park, where players can recapture them with a Poké Ball. It sounds quite similar to the Pal Park, for those of you who remember playing “Diamond,” “Pearl,” and “Platinum.” Still, even if it is not an entirely new way of interacting with your Pokémon, as the company is advertising, it will still provide hours of fun and far more options for capturing your favorite Pokémon!

Candies:

Similar to “GO,” Pokémon in “Let’s Go” can also be strengthened with Candies. It seems that battling will still be able to give your Pokémon experience, so they appear unnecessary as of now. Perhaps these Candies are similar to the Rare Candies from the main games. Either way, we have been told that players can transfer their Pokémon to Professor Oak later in the game for more of these candies.

Play Together!

Luckily enough, Nintendo has also maintained the cooperative aspect of Pokémon! Players of “Let’s Go” will be able to fight against or alongside other players in Single and Double battles and trading will be available! Unfortunately, trading and battling online will require buying a Nintendo Switch Online membership, which will begin this September. It seems even Nintendo has to get involved in this frustrating scam of milking gamers for online play…
