Out today, Iceberg Interactive and Cybernetic Walrus have launched the first official DLC for their futuristic racing game Antigraviator. The DLC brings three new tracks, a new racing mode, more music, and a brand new racer – the Viper Class.

The three new tracks of the expansion wind through the forests of the Orval planet system. Collectively known as the Viper Trails (from which the DLC gets its name), the tracks promise a new set of challenges in both single- and multiplayer racing. A trio of new drum and bass tracks from composer Alex Meza provide some new background music to match the new tracks.

A few quick looks at the new tracks show off the forests and ravines that they wind through.

The new racing mode is called Hybrid Mode, which is a variation on Pure Mode which reintroduces traps. A further enhancement is a Mirror mode that applies to all tracks, allowing them to now be driven in the opposite direction. Every virtual racer who’s been crossed up by a mirror track configuration in a Forza or Grand Turismo game knows just how confusing that blend of new and familiar can be.

Viper Trails also adds a new vehicle class to the Antigraviator stables. Known as the Venom, this Grav is the perfect choice for both the new and old tracks.

The Venom just looks fast. And lethal. Like an angry, ultra-high-speed hornet.

Players interested in grabbing the new Antigraviator DLC should head over to the expansion’s Steam page, or other digital retailers carrying the game. The expansion is available for $5.99, but also has a 10% discount during launch week.

Gabe had a lot of fun with this Wipeout and Mario Kart inspired fusion at PAX East this year, and the addition of a new Grav, new tracks, and more game modes sounds like it’ll be well worth the purchase.
