With just a few days left before Christmas, the Marooners’ Rock team would like to help anyone struggling with gift ideas for the geeky gamer in their life. While we’ve already done some specific suggestions for the simulator fans, we’re all about being inclusive. In that spirit, we’d like to present a few more gift ideas that nearly anyone can enjoy. And remember, just because it might not get there by December 25th, the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas don’t end until January 6th. That’s enough time to buy a gift for every day! Hey, maybe that should be a song…
On the First Day of Christmas, my gaming love gave to me, a gaming chair for viewers to see.
RapidX Carbon Line Gaming Chair ($399.99, RapidX.io), to be precise. Although DX Racing seems to have the market cornered on gaming chairs for the big streamers, there plenty of other brands out there with equal quality. Joe was quite happy with the quality of his RapidX Carbon Line chair, and we think anyone getting one for Christmas will be happy with it too.
Two pairs of glasses.
GUNNAR RIOT Series Glasses ($49.99, Gunnar.com) When Aaron had the chance to try these out earlier this year, he was blown away by the optical clarity. A good set of computer glasses is a must for anyone who spends a good chunk of the day staring at a screen, and Gunnars are some of the best.
Three iPhone cases
(Prices vary, Carved) Chances are, someone’s phone needs a new case. Why not get one of these neat cases from Carved which feature artwork done on real wood, or highly polished designs bringing out the natural color of some of the wood?
Four Rebel chokers
($9.99, Thinkgeek.com) A little something for the Rebel Scum in your life who’s been nice, but also a bit naughty. Much like our favorite Disney Princess who’s as handy with a blaster and a barbed retort as she is at stealing the hearts of smugglers.
Five Funko Pops
($10.00 – 15.00, Funko.com) Who doesn’t need more Funkos?
Six Witcher Jackets
($59.99, Jinx.com) Stylish yet practical, these jackets will help keep you warm on when it’s cold outside, baby. As a bonus, they make great cosplay accessories at winter conventions.
Seven Fallout Watches
($150.00, One61.com) For the Fallout fan who’s always wanted a PipBoy, but without the bulk of the real thing. Note: Does not protect from Deathclaw attacks.
Eight Meta Hats
($29.95, Metathreads.com) Know someone who needs a new ballcap, but doesn’t want to support a local Sportsball team? These Snapback hats from Meta Threads look great, and Aaron swears that his is the most comfortable ballcap he owns.
Nine coffee mugs
($9.99, Jinx.com) Declare your lasting allegiance to The Horde while sipping a morning (or afternoon, or evening, or late night) hot beverage. Also available in Alliance colors, for those not aligned with Lady Sylvanus’ campaign to Make Azeroth Great Again.
Ten Star Trek movies
($56.49, Amazon.com) Just remember, it’s the even numbered movies that are good.
Eleven packs of cards
($20.00, Topps.com) Get back to the fun times of busting open card packs with this new Star Wars set from Topps.
Twelve Paper Doctors
($14.99, thinkgeek.com). Very nearly all of The Doctor’s regenerations, in paper doll form! “We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?”
