It’s pretty astounding that Nintendo’s indie movement has been going strong for five years! Back in 2015, Nintendo seemed more restrictive with indie titles taking up precious eShop real-estate. While they showcased titles through their Nindies live-streams, competitors like Sony and Microsoft still offered more indie titles. Nintendo totally flipped the switch (get it) with their current indie strategy. Nindies was rebranded Indie World back in 2018, and the streams became much meatier. The Nintendo Switch is now home to hundreds of unique games from a vast number of indie developers. To many, Nintendo Switch has become their go-to indie machine. Today, Nintendo announced the date for their next Indie World live-stream!
