Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight Coming Spring 2021

The Steam Game Festival is coming to an end, and with that comes a number of new gaming experiences. Playism has announced its action RPG Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is set for launch this Spring 2021, and a free demo is now available. However, the demo is only available until Today, February 9th to coincide with the end of the Steam Game Festival.

The news comes from Playism through a press release. Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight is described as a 3D platformer with an Oriental Aesthetic. Players play as a young girl, Yukomo who ventures a small, isolated town ins each of repairs for her ship. As she explores this abandoned town, she is greeted by strange cat-like inhabitants that seem to be as confused and curious as Yukomo. Throughout the adventure, Yukomo discovers the mystery of the city, its cat-like inhabitants, and the enemies that dwell within its dungeons. While mysteries Tasomachi is translated as ” A city sleeping in Twilight” in Japanese.

The demo showcases the first 15 minutes of Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight, which encourages players to explore, interact, and platform simple challenges. While the demo is short, the press release indicates a large and involving world to explore, as well as many enemies to fight, though, combat is not featured in this new demo. The art style is from freelance illustrator Nocras with music supplied by Snail’s house.

Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight does look and sound like an ambitious action platformer, and it’s a refreshing sight to see, as most games with this particular motif are woven into being a JRPG, which is crowded with the anime aesthetic. Playism has a very niche portfolio of games that break the mold, in regard to established genres and gameplay formulas. This first look at Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight does look incredibly ambitious and exciting to play, and players should be encouraged to try the demo for themselves.

Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight launches this coming Spring 2021 on Steam.
