For the past few months, the internet has been conjuring up many rumors on a new Nintendo Switch model. Last month being E3, many expected Nintendo to make an announcement. The majority of fans hoped for a more powerful Nintendo Switch Pro, featuring 4K resolution. E3 came and went, without any word on a Switch console revision. Earlier this morning, the big N finally revealed a new Nintendo Switch console… And it’s not what you think. Introducing the Nintendo Switch OLED model.

New Console Features:
- 7-inch OLED screen
- Wide adjustable stand
- Enhanced audio (Handheld/Table Top Modes)
- 64GB Internal Storage
New Dock Features:
- Built-in wired LAN Port
The Nintendo Switch OLED model features a larger, 7-inch OLED screen with much more vivid colors, as well as enhanced audio capabilities. The Nintendo Switch (OLED model) also features a new, much wider adjustable stand for tabletop mode. The internal memory is also being doubled from 32GB to 64GB. The console dock is also receiving a revision, including a built-in wired LAN port. The console’s dimensions will reportedly be very similar to the current Nintendo Switch model.
The Nintendo Switch OLED model will retail for $349.99 USD and will be released on October 8th. Two-color options will be available at launch; White with white Joy-Cons, and black with neon Joy-Cons.
