It’s almost June, which means one thing for gamers. . . E3 RUMORS! The latest rumor that’s been stirring up excitement is regarding Borderlands, specifically Borderlands 2 and not the upcoming third entry.
E3 2019 is less than a few weeks away, and one of the most anticipated games being showcased is Borderlands 3. It was already confirmed by Gearbox that they would be showing off more Borderlands 3 at this upcoming E3. During Gearbox’s Gameplay Reveal event this month, we got to see a good chunk of content for the upcoming sequel, so fans are expecting no less this summer.
Well for the three people who didn’t know before April 3, the official release date of Borderlands 3 will be September 13, 2019. Many were speculating that the release date would come in the fall as past titles in the franchise have before. It was definitely a delight to many fans that they are getting the sequel a good six months after it’s been officially revealed at PAX East 2019.
Today, Gearbox just announced that their critically acclaimed shooter, Borderlands 2, is getting the virtual reality treatment, and is set to release this year for PlayStation VR. VR editions of popular AAA games isn’t anything new for the industry, so this doesn’t come as a surprise. Luckily, Gearbox promises that this is a complete rework of the game developed in-house by them.
